The last day of a short but amazing camp

The third and final day of virtual camp was packed full of activities! We had den building, where’s Brian, played a variety of wacky games, recreated and filmed a Bible story and heard a message from Jeff about Jesus calling the disciples. In tent prayers we looked at how we can trust someone – discovering some interesting truths about our fellow campers (not mentioning any names but someone got a tic tac stuck up her nose whilst watching Paddington at the cinema)!! We also discussed how we can witness to our non-Christian friends and how to encourage and support each other on our journeys of faith.

We held a special evening event where we invited families to join us for a quiz and to show off some of the photo’s that had been taken during the last few days, premiere the bible dramas we had filmed and to announce the Camp 2020 winning tent which was ‘I get locked down but I get up again’!! Congratulations!

We just want to take this opportunity to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported camp this year. A few short months ago it felt like camp was going to be an impossibility, but through prayer and God’s grace we have had an epic few days. Thank you to all our prayer partners and for everyone following our blogs over the last few days and weeks.

Thank you to all the parents who put up with their children creating noise, running around the house, raiding the recycling box and, if they are anything like some of the leaders, making an absolute mess in the kitchen creating some excellently decorated cupcakes. A big big thank you to all of the campers who took part this year too. Your enthusiasm and energy made camp a success and we can’t wait to see you all next near. Hopefully up in Coniston!
