Day 4 – Camp walk

Good morning campers! That’s the first thing you hear as Brian blows the whistle to get everyone up. Off they go to the showers and then from there they get ready for the day by making lunch sandwiches.

Before the teaching session, there is the normal warm up to make sure everyone is awake and don’t fall asleep during the talk. So this morning it was a dance off.

The teaching was from Matthew 26:1-15. The theme was about a woman loving Jesus. The challenge was to consider whether we love Jesus and to look at how we can show this.

After that we went for a lovely walk from Tarn Hows all the way back to the camp site. There was ample time to admire the scenery and to reflect on God’s magnificent handiwork of creation. This is a really good time for campers and leaders to talk and interact while they walk.

After the walk was the winter Olympics back at the site. Silly, fun games really and everyone loved it. One had to watch out for the water bombs.

The day ended with a lovely meal and then to calm down we played some card games. All in all it was another fantastic day.
