Day 5 of Compass Camp 2014
We all woke to a windy but sunny day, eager for both physical food (hash browns!) and spiritual food. Today we studied ‘The Writing on the Wall’ in Daniel in relation to fearing God, the ultimate Judge, a topic that we’ll be exploring further in Tent Prayers this evening.
Following the morning’s talk, the two groups enjoyed either canoeing on Coniston waters or rock climbing in Langdale, revelling in the sunshine with the fighter jets zipping through the valley and we all refuelled with a tea of cottage pie and chocolate pudding (the best pudding ever!)
Tonight’s games found the campers getting thoroughly soaked with balloon games and water bomb fights, ending with all the campers ambushing a very wet Chris with bags of flour – revenge, they said, for his dumping flour and silly string on them previously. Now we’re off to discuss God’s word and, hopefully, get a good night’s sleep.
Check out the 2014 collection on our flickr site to see lots of photos (unedited so far) of what we’ve been up to so far this week.
