Activities day 3
This morning’s wakeup exercise was a ball game on the school playground/car park which got the campers wide awake and ready to listen carefully to Phil talking about staying focused in the Christian life (younger campers) and Jeff talk about taking inspiration from heroes of faith (older campers).
Yet again the weather rained on all morning but, again, it cleared up precisely when we needed it to and the afternoon (spent gorge-scrambling, kayaking and climbing) was lovely and sunny in the most part, allowing the campers to enjoy their activities (maybe not in the dry, given the nature of the activities, but certainly much warmer). The evening brought another Q and A session for the younger campers, with the older campers playing some games.
Pray that both campers and leaders would have enough energy (and patience!) to keep going as camp draws to a close; pray for the final talks tomorrow, that the campers would listen and really be struck by them; pray for the campers who received their exam results today, that it would go well (and that those who don’t do so well would take it well); and that God would work in the campers tomorrow, particularly among those who are here for their last year. We really do want them to come to know Christ and to put their trust, not in exam results, but in what he has done for them on the cross.
Thanks for your prayers so far.
