Throughout Compass Camp 2026, we spent time each morning exploring some of the most powerful words Jesus spoke about himself — the “I Am” sayings recorded in John’s Gospel.
Across the week, our speakers helped us think about what Jesus meant when he said:
- “I am the bread of life”
- “I am the light of the world”
- “I am the gate”
- “I am the good shepherd”
- “I am the resurrection and the life”
- “I am the way, the truth and the life”
- “I am the true vine”
Together these sayings give us a wonderful overview of Jesus claim that he’s the Son of God, and teaching what it means to follow him. Each one reveals something different about his character, his relationship with us, and the hope he offers.
