Campers and leaders woke up to a wet and misty morning, but that didn’t stop the daily race to get to the showers first! After quiet time and breakfast, the sun came out as we headed over to Grace Baptist Church in Ulverston. We enjoyed a lovely warm welcome as always, and had a great service together as Ole introduced our Bible teaching theme in Revelation.
After a cup of tea and biscuits we headed back to Grasmere in the sunshine for an amazing lunch, giving us plenty of energy for our afternoon capture the flag type wide game. Campers had to do silly dances or press ups as forfeits if they were caught by a leader, and everyone had a great time!
Back at camp we had our evening meeting, with Ole powerfully reminding us of the power of the love and sacrifice that Jesus has made for us, He is the Lamb who has slain to save us, but is now alive and stands worthy of all praise and honour!
After we’ve finished our sticky toffee pudding we’ll be getting ready for tent prayers and bedtime after a fun packed day. Please pray that our tents stand up to the storm that is forecast overnight, and that we have another day of fun, adventure and faith tomorrow!
