Another day of good weather today! The little drizzle we had could not dampen the campers spirits and got us no where near as wet as the afternoon activity, canoeing. After lashing together two canoes the campers set out onto the water. In teams, Boys verses up into boys and girls teams the camper had a blast playing all sorts of fun games. All, most campers valiently rowing their hardest. Although after putting in slightly more effort clinched camper of the day for both chloe and Abigail.
Earlier the compulsory morning meeting was well attended. The message was given by Ole, pronounced “oo-ler” as in “ruler”, who’s from the church in Ulverston where we went yesterday. He taught us about how God used Samson despite his selfish actions, marrying a Philistine, eating honey from the lion he killed and making an outrageous bet with his groomsmen.
For tea we enjoyed a delicious lasagne, followed by cheesecake which has given the campers energy to take part in this evening’s activity of “Astronaut Training”. Good luck Campers!
