Last day!

Apologies for the huge delay in the last blog entry.

Today was an action packed day and no mistake. Today was our day out in Ambleside. We had concocted a wide game called ‘Ambleside monopoly’, in which the campers had to collect houses by finding and taking photographs of street names. We also had leaders walking around the town handing out chance cards and community chest cards. The best part of this crazy wide game had to be the ‘jail van’. Dave Wylie was the jailer and when caught, campers were taken to jail in the van. Fun was had by all! Our last night event was a ‘Royal variety show’ with various acts and performances. Some of the more shy campers really came out of their shell, especially one, who to everyones surprise danced to Jam by Michael Jackson. Phil Heaps gave an epilogue and then it was time for tent prayers.

Many leaders were very encouraged by the last night of tent prayers, again thank you for your prayers! We encouraged the campers to run the race and to fix their eyes on Jesus. Some campers said that they had been challenged and wanted to be baptised! This was the best encouragement of all.

Thank you one last time for your constant prayers. We value them very highly at Compass Camps. Now off to get the tents down.

Hope to see you next year!
