Day 3 – Adventure activities day!

Today has been another busy day on Camp.

Gathering outside after breakfast, we played a game of chain tig, to wake up any sleepy campers before the morning meeting.

Today’s talk was about the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at the well, and raced off to tell everyone she knew about Him. Tom challenged us to see that we all thirst for something that this world cannot satisfy, but unless we see that we are trying to quench our thirst at different wells, we will never turn to Jesus, who alone can give the living water we crave.

Our afternoon activities for today were rock-climbing or canoeing. I was with the group that went canoeing at Coniston Water. We enjoyed playing games which involved throwing small soft balls at our instructors, then made the most of the sunshine and jumped right into the water. The campers had great fun jumping off the pier, and took great delight in pushing this leader off as well!

We returned for warm showers and some free time for the campers, followed by a delicious meal of lasagne and then games by the lakeside.
