Friday, our last full day of camp, is always bitter sweet. We’ve had a busy day so not much time for a detailed blog but here’s a quick update.

Walu wrapped up the teaching with a talk on the return of Christ and a challenge on how we react to the truths learnt through the week as we go home.

Today our theme was action (see the trailer on facebook) so in the afternoon we headed into Hawkshead for a Zombie Apocalypse game. Campers seeking clues around the village which equated to time for collecting useful objects to survive the apocalypse as the zombie leaders descended on them.

This evening we had movie and oscars award ceremony. Tents performed a variety of bible stories in a particular genre. The highlight being Area 51’s Prodigal Son in the style of a western. We then dressed up in our movie character costumes for the award ceremony where awards were given for a categories like best stunt (Jonathan for mountain bike prowess), best hair (Jacob for his bobble) and best choreography (Hannah W for leading the camp in a line dance). the two big prizes, formerly campers of the year went to Hazel, best actress and Joel, best actor.

As the thunder rolls in we head back to our tents for the final tent prayers and sadly think about packing up and going home tomorrow.

As always we’ve uploaded our photos to flickr – Camp 2019 – Day 7
